Default Limited Slip Differential (LSD)

Did any Cayennes come with an LSD, or was it even an option? Just wondering, thanks!

Nope. Kind of a pointless option for the cayenne.

Rear locker is in the rare Offroad Pkg; limited slip would be redundant with the electronic traction control on the axles.

I have the rear locker option on my '06 Turbo S but the standard 220 Porsche limited slip option wasn't available. The Torque Vectoring has only been in the last two years I think.

PTV is on a whole different level than an LSD. EDL works well enough on the cayennes, and with the amount of body roll, heft, and lack of power on the non-turbo models, a traditional LSD just wouldn't make a difference.

Option code 220 - probably the most highly sought after 3 numbers on any air-cooled car.

Yea, I'm lucky enough to have 220 on my 911 and one of my 944T's.

And a CTTS with the offroad pack? Do you also have a pet unicorn and an albino lion?

AGREED! In fact, from a stoplight or stop sign, on wet smooth pavement with wide painted white stripes, I can can hit it so hard and cut so hard around the corner that it is ridiculous. People would not believe it unless they ride in one or happen to be behind someone who drives like me. No front wheel or rear wheel drive car is going to be able to do what these trucks can do in the wet. I hit it hard from every stoplight and stop sign, and can't tell difference between the wet and dry, even when making the turn from the stop. I can't make it spin with my 405 HP. This SUV (I always hesitate to call it a truck) is amazing! I do have the 21s with the Continental summer tires.

Cayennes had limited slip rear diffs, just look up the part numbers. LSDs are useful offroad, not just in avoiding 1-wheel burnouts.

Sorry just had to clear that up

I see people are very enthusiastic about the Porsche electronic traction control in the Cayanne. Many people who have driven any 4x4 with limited slip differentials in snowy or muddy conditions will want lsd differentials in the Cayanne also. There is one aftermarket company that offers to install torsen LSD units in the rear differential of Cayannes. I would love to have torsen differentials installed in the front and rear of a Cayanne and then get outside in the snow. I still think there must be a way to do it.
