I agree that the new one will probably be in the 130s, especially with the new powertrain.
A 450 hp 4.0 GT4 would be a legend car.

I think it's great business to have an entry-level GT car under 6-figures with an existing upgrade path to more expensive models.

I'm in, as long as 3rd gear works.

That would be a huge mistake, imo. The economy is not always going to be as it was with the GT4 launch. The last GT3 was $130k - are you suggesting they price the GT3 and 4 similarly or that they push up the prices of all GT cars by 50%? I don't like either option.

The first one was a great deal at 85k.

Pure speculation, obviously.

That would be a 15% increase. I'm hoping for ~5% like the rest of the 991.2 models released so far. If they raise the price 15% at every facelift, things would get out of whack pretty quickly.
I agree that a GT4 RS would command a premium over a GT4, but don't see the next GT4 being higher than low 90's (but hard to speculate without knowing the spec). I would think Porsche would want a halo 4-cylinder model to spark sales of the other 718 models...

You guys in the home of the free are in LU LU land. In the the great southern land down under, a well specced GT4 was Aussie $230k on the road or about US$175. Likewise a 991 GT3 was circa US$300k. We look at your prices and can't understand all the bitching you go with.

I'm guessing the GT4 RS will approach $130k to $140k. It will make you think old GT3 or New Cayman GT4 RS. Different cars and are valued differently but at the same time so close in price.

Porsche is killing me. The way I read into this, there is a possibility that the next GT4 that will be released will be called the GT4RS. It possible there won't be a plain GT4, which means I need to place a deposit for both a GT4 and GT4RS and wait to see what it will be. SMH...

It's interesting that it mentions an RS and not a vanilla GT4. I'm assuming an RS would be pdk only, so for manual lovers who want that awesome engine, do we take the gamble and pass on a gt3, or do we have to buy one in case no manual, NA gt4 emerges? FML. 😢

Calling it RS will allow them to jack up the price without as much revolt. Plus the performance delta is probably going to be significant enough to justify the label.

No - it will stay Manual or offer both options
