That's my goal (for whatever that is worth lol) but have yet to make it to CoTA. My lowly s2k, on street tires, is in the 30s so I am thinking the GT4 should be faster with the lack of drag and extra power. Poor s2k only hits 120 on the back straight lol.

Needless to say, I won't be instructing at the next EA event as I will be at MSR riding right seat. Once it cools down I will try and make a trip out to Austin.

I'm interested to know if there are any track times for southern tracks. Specifically looking for Road Atlanta, Atlanta Motorsports Park, Barber in Birmingham, AL or Roebling in Savannah, GA.

I have some quick laps in my Audi S4 at each of these tracks and can't wait to see what my (incoming) GT4 can do.

You're my hero! The minute mark is my goal. Was at LRP with HOD on Saturday. Conditions not optimal--rained cats and dogs for two of the five sessions, but then mostly dried out by the afternoon. It was my first track event with the new GT4. Didn't feel fully comfortable in it yet. Hopefully with time I'll get to know its characteristics better so I can use them to my advantage--it's me that needs the work.

Best was a 1:02.8, whereas I've done 1:00.4 in my 991 Carrera S last year.

I have no doubt you'll best your 991 time with more seat time in the GT4! Not sure if it's your first mid engine(it is for me) but you may have to tweak your driving style a bit to carry more speed in the corners.

I'm chasing 58s now and I expect the car is good for 57s on RE-71Rs but I'm not willing to push that hard in a DE. I have no interest in running hoosiers so 58 is probably where I will stay. (once I get there )

Hello MXS,

Your Homestead will put you in the lead - so I will need to get a screen shot of your Harry's to put your on the board!

I did the Masters Course at the Porsche Sport Driving School at Barber Motorsports Park and in the GT4 with Harry's Laptimer I ran a 1:47. I absolutely love that track and am signed up for the Masters Plus Course there in December.

I haven't been to Barber with the GT4 yet, but was there with friends in April, one of whom was running 1:39's in his GT4.

I was just at Mid Ohio (with bus stop) this past weekend, my brother (arguably faster than I) ran a 1:37.6 on OE PSC2's.

Here's an action shot from Mid-O last weekend.

Nice times. You must have run in the advanced group if you used the banking last month at homestead. I was in the intermediate group in a carmine red gt4. I haven't gone out to PBIR yet, but have only been on track once with the gt4. Going out again soon?

1:39.X at Barber is pretty quick. That's my goal for my next visit up there (996 GT3)
