Default 997 612 670 71 rear deck lid harness. Correct one for fixed wing, no brake light?

The 911 Turbo I recently purchased has a fixed GT2 style spoiler with NO third brake light. I am of course getting the spoiler control malfunction over 75mph, and am also getting a check raised brake light warning when I first start the car.

I bought a new harness, part number 997 612 670 71, which has 3 plugs. I am guessing that one goes to the main body wiring harness, the other goes to the fan, so where does the 3rd plug go? It can't be the light because there isn't one, and can't be for the spoiler motor, because it is supposed to be for a fixed wing. Did I get the correct harness?

BTW: I know that to fix the error over 75mph requires coding in addition to the harness, but I am more concerned if I got the right harness for a fixed rear wing w/o 3rd brake light.

I'm not sure there is a harness with no third brake light. The aerokit harness has a fan plug and a light plug only, -051 I believe.

thanks, I got my info on the harness I needed from the below link, post # 8. Can anyone confirm that the harness I bought will disable my raised brake light warning, and where the 3rd plug installs?

Why not just put a bulb on that one and disable the wing with a durametric. The bulb will only light when you hit the brakes and you could just stick it up inside the wing.

The clear connector is your engine compartment light. Plugs into the light bulb holder.

You will most likely have to use a PIWIS to do some recoding.

A resistor across the light plug would work. Not sure what the bulb throws, but is easily checked. Our MicroModule is designed to prevent the warning.

I just changed my C4S spoiler for a fixed wing, and to avoid the system warnings and avoid several 100$ for the Porsche PIWIS , I bought a small double pole relay at radio shack for 10$ to simulate the microswitches status to the system...

You put the spoiler motor wires between pins 7 and 8, and the microswitch wires between 1-3-5 and 2-4-6, reversing polarity 3-5 and 4-6, as one has to be normally open and the other normally close, and when the motor actuates, it is reversed... it worked!
