DME Help - overrevs on 997TT

looks like the car has a tune, and a raised limiter, hence the very large number of range 1s. In fact looks like the DME has maxed out the number of range 1s it can actually record, hence the "65535" which is essentially the highest assignable number for a 16-bit binary system.
I am no expert, and others will chime in, but if all else checks out in a PPI and you love the car I wouldn't be too concerned with this DME report. But I'd only buy this car with an extended warranty or CPO to make sure there are no lurking gremlins. Otherwise I would keep looking for a 100% stock car with a very "clean" DME to reduce my future risk

My '07 has like 800 Type 1, 60 Type 2's, and 2 Type 3's in 26k miles. There are others out there, but IMO that one has seen significant duty. BUT, you don't mention mileage, or what your intentions are for it.

Car has 42k miles
Looking to daily drive it and maybe take to the track once.
Would keep it for 24 months then sell it.
It has 3 yrs/30k extended warranty with it.

Try explaining those outrages over-rev numbers in 24 months to the next knowledgable buyer.

And at 42,000 miles and 1,345 operating hours that thing hasn't even seen track time. 31 mph average. It's just been spanked around city streets.

That's my car, ladies. 40K miles, no tune, I verified it with the dealer prior to purchasing it. I put 10K miles on it over the past 12 months, practically 0 of it on city streets, but thanks for the insight
I have not tracked it, previous owner didn't strike me as a track guy either.
Has Fidelity Platinum warranty.

You might want to keep the car away from the wet roads and stop burning the tires off in the water boxes at the drag strip. (I say that in jest) You are shifting at the Rev limiter, or bouncing off the limiter to induce the maxed out Type 1's and higher 2's..

If the car has 42K on the clock, the average is 32 miles per hour spread out over the life of the car.
The last type 3 and 4 happened around 5000 miles ago.
The last type 2 happened 1200 miles ago
The last type 1 happened 620 miles ago.
Disclaimer, these are estimates.. To be more specific one would have to produce the DME reports every few years with the mileage..
For the 997TT owner, printing out the DME report (every couple years) and storing it for your records is a nice thing to have when you sell the car.

*In all fairness I need to recuse my comments since I am biased here*
