icarscan vs durametric
Can anyone comment on the capabilities of these products. Seems like the icarscan would be a great all around unit that could be used on the family fleet of vehicles where Durametric would be specific to Porsche. There is also a substantial price difference.
My current need is to activate the "ventilation" feature on the car which allows the windows to be rolled up/down via the key remote. Also would like to possibly activate the auto lock feature.
While I could most likely easily get this done at the dealer, I would rather invest in something that would provide value for years to come.

Do you have the "pro" version?
I guess all of the cars have the feature that allows window and sunroof up/down via the remote. It simply gets programmed on/off via the dealer software just like the auto lock speed, auto arming, etc...

The only way to use the key to open or close windows is when the key is in the door lock. There is NO remote opening or closing of windows...so there is no way to program what you want

Yep. I don't think PIWIS can do it on 996 either. Our ventilation mode requires key to be in the door lock. It is because of the type of key fob we have.

So it looks like I might have confused myself and was actually reading a write up on a 997. Looks like the only real programming customization you can do on the 996 is the auto lock sequence and the locking time delay. Thanks for the responses.
