Drifting
A nice new pickup costs more than my car and loses more than it ever will the day I drive off. I never buy a vehicle or piece of equipment that I cant pay cash for or afford to roll down a hill and walk away laughing .

I would jump all over this if I wanted another 996TT https://losangeles.craigslist.org/ws...355928112.html Has 95k miles, spoke with owner, seems legit.

I think the guy is legit. Again, spoke with him, was knowledgable about the car and has service records. He purchased it from a dealer that I know of. Cant vouch for it because I did not see it in person but if I was in the market to buy a 996TT I would go check it out for sure. I do agree with you that price seems too good to be true but the guy is looking for a quick sale, maybe needs $. With the holidays, not everyone is going to throw $$$$ into a used car, he understands that.
I sold my 01 996TT with 85k about 2 years ago for 33k, but I was patient.

That yellow 911TT was legit as I also spoke and texted him. VIN was clear with no accidents and such being in CA the whole time.
The seller doesn't honor his word though. I wanted to get out there last night but he said it'd be better to see it in the daylight so I made an appointment and he promised to he would wait for me. 10am cause I had to get my kids ready to go with me.
He sold it for asking price. At least I wasn't in transit when this happened. Of course I'm aware of "first come first served" so it wasn't meant to be. Car could have been fine but who knows too.
Moving on.

That was a sweet deal. I spoke to the guy as well. This goes to show you $$ talks.. Its good to be cautious but not every good deal is a scam.. The guy was a gambler, kept mentioning how he would take the car to Vegas.. Needed quick cash, sold cheap, nothing wrong with that.
On the other hand, car maybe needed an expensive repair and he got a sucker to buy it.. who knows..

yea, and i'm just not so sure why folks are so surprised at 96t's in the 20's. especially hi mileage examples. mines worth.. I'm not even gonna say. it'll still keep up with a new one lol at 1/16th the dollar value. now how's THAT for a laugh!

It's rare to see a well kept car with under a 100k that "needs nothing" for low twenties. You'll see higher mileage, with leaking hydraulic spoiler and other such issues for under 30.

I would expect that speed yellow car to sell for around $32k assuming it was in decent shape. Quick sale would have been to advertise it at $29,500 and take $28,000. I think he could have wholesaled it to a dealer for $27,000 or close to that.

Exactly. 22k is the price of a 950k miles car, not a 95k miles one.
