Do you use an Agreed Value Insurer?
I am looking at my insurance options for my 02 Carrera and with the values fluctuating I am concerned my insurance company won't value the car at what it would cost me to replace it in the vent of a total loss. Curious what others are doing and who you are using.

I use an agreed value policy on my 914 (American Collector's Insurance) and just regular insurance on my 996 and Cayman (USAA).
If your car is in super-great shape or has super low miles, maybe look into the agreed value. I had to agree to drive the 914 less than 7,500 miles per year, but could have paid more if I wanted additional miles allocation.

yes -agreed value based on independent appraisal, with TD Insurance...no driving restrictions.

As Cuda mentioned if your car is pristine, you might wanna look into agreed upon value. Also to note if you have a lot of mods on your car, agreed upon value insurance can also make sense, especially considering how expensive Porsche mods can be.
With that said, I view my 996 as a throw away car and even though I have lots of mods, I only carry the minimum insurance on it.

Lots of my engine purchasers take this route, as they are in some instances spending more on the engine, than the NADA value of the car. Most insurance companies want invoices to prove the value of the vehicle.

I looked into agreed value insurance a year ago and after speaking with 11 different insurance companies, I found they will all provide agreed value insurance only if you qualify for a collector car policy. All but 2 of them were willing to give me a collector car policy but those that were willing to had severe restrictions on where/how I could drive the car. Specifically, I could not use the car at all for transportation -- meaning I could not even drive the car to a friend's house for dinner or to my club, or 2 miles to the local hardware store. I could only drive the car to PCA events, car shows or in parades. No autocrosses, no track events. So, I just got a professional appraisal for $150 and keep it in my file in case anything ever happens so that I can prove what my car is worth.
BTW, of the two companies that would not write me collector car insurance, one said there were more than 2500 911's sold in 2001 and that disqualified my car from collector car status despite being more than 10 years old. The other said the most ridiculous thing -- although I have 2 other daily driver cars for me and my wife, my wife's Mercedes wagon was more than 5 years old (5 years and 6 months at the time) and that disqualified it from being a daily driver (huh?).
