Thumbs up 996 with a 997 airbox and red air intake.

This is a 2000 996 C2 CAB with a 997 airbox off ebay for 30$ and the new red air intake of ebay for 70$. Pic shows a temp block of cap but got a free 2' black rubber cap from niagaraplastics.com. I also used the orange cap under it. The 4Ply silicone, air box plug and Plug cover look identical to the Schnell cold air intake.

The air pump was rotated 10deg and used existing screw hole. The main 997 tub to the box has a larger cross section.

Default The Amber Light

I removed the amber square cube for the turn signals. Gained access to the turn signal light and broke the cube up and removed it.

Nice work Chris. Now watch the price of 997 stock air intakes skyrocket on ebay. Only one there now for a 3.8 for $250. Pass

Sound is louder, not sure if i like it. The guy next store though i had a turbo when he heard it start up. Its hard to tell how much perfomance diverence there is. I like the look of the 997 air box, good finish look.
