THX again Chris

I will take a look at the belt once things are apart. It is easy enough to get the airbox out, that I think I will inspect before buying new one. Havent priced the belt yet, but being Porsche, I am sure it is priced tooooooooo high.

Chris, yet another question.
I just got an airbox from a 997s so it is labeled 3.8 on it. I think it might be quite a bit different than the 3.6 liter version. On the one I have, there is a vacuum connection on the backside next to the smaller "muffler" connection. It shuts off the "muffler" connection under vacuum. So I assume it changes the loudness factor at different RPM's. Problem is, the muffler is glued in, and very good glue, it is not removable.
Does your airbox from the 3.6 have the same valve ????? and is the muffler box glued in.

I think they might refer to the muffler as an anti-resonence device ????

The 3.6 has only the muffler box glued in.
