Depreciation of my 993TT
My cars appreciation, has depreciated in my mind. Because every time I drive it, my love for it appreciates, and my appreciation for its appreciation, has actually depreciated. That's all :-). Enjoy, I know I did!!!!!

Ok, is this what you mean? -> you mean every time you drive it, you appreciate it again. When you don't, you forget a bit and appreciate it less?
Then again, I am probably totally wrong ...
Cheers,
Mike

It was more of a play on words, and some jest, to laugh at some of the ridiculousness of valuable car ownership. Yes, I care that my car is worth more now, than when it first sold, but that doesn't diminish my resolve to enjoy my car. If/when it ever did, then being an enthusiast stops, and I become a calculator. Constantly watching, waiting to strike, getting the most ROI. Another point, was to curdle the blood of those who do this, as they think I'm "ruining" my car. Driving 7/8 10ths, is NOT damaging anything on the car, and only expendables (pads/tires etc) are directly affected. Would you let your beautiful woman sit around without delving into her? :-)

Ahh OK, get it now. Definitely there are different stratas of owners, and this rise in values has screwed with a lot of heads. I store my car in the winter, mostly just because its much more pleasant to drive my truck when its really gross out, but it also has the side benefit that I essentially get a "new" car every spring - :-)
The GT3 owners are worse, where a GT3 with 30,000 miles is considered quite old, and god help you if it's over 50,000. Funny how a NA 993 over 100,000 miles does not raise any eyebrows, but a 993TT with that gets lots of reaction, even if they are just as robust!
Cheers,
Mike

How dare you actually drive and enjoy your car?! And on the track no less. These are not race cars, these are cars that should be stored and never driven making them more desirable for the next person. It's like having a super model girlfriend- you wouldn't want to have sexual relations with her! Just look at her

Spent Fathers Day with a gift to myself. Apparently I wasn't to only one. Was neat to see so many come up, and say "nice, that you take this on the track". Of all the cars there, my 21 year old, still turns heads, and helps me try and keep other drivers on their toes. At the very least, I am not impeding traffic. :-)

My car's appreciating, but the more I appreciate it, it deprecates, because my appreciation grows behind the wheel, which depreciates my car's appreciation.
-or-
my car's appreciation is depreciating, the more I appreciate my car behind the wheel the more it's appreciation turns to depreciation.
