I never get tired of your photos.
My 8 year old daughter walks in and says "Whoa, that is a cool car. That's like your Turbo and your Cab mixed. The best of both"
Nick-- What 993 color do kids LUV most? Silver, like yours!
Just ask Brendan's daughter:

Jim-- So glad you like.
Anytime! ...that is, anytime with 1 key ingredient: a photographer who wants to snap rolling shots
O.T., but also in action ... for those who like their air-cooled art 'hanging on the wall'
Related 'throwback' fave from Monterey 2009:
Photography credits: Porsche AG & Angie McDonald ^^

Posted years ago on a web forum, saw this excerpt today for 1st time:
I'm posting shots taken yesterday, letting everyone form their own opinion.
I love to hang around my friends shop. Next door, another friend stores his collection of Porsches. He usually has a delectable little tidbit or two either awaiting test-drives or he's evaluating some one-off for future purchase.
Yesterday morning, as I walked by his open door, out of the corner of my eye I saw something that caught my attention............a 993 wide-bodied Speedster. The Werke never produced 993 Speedsters officially, but the factory did turn out two special units, one for Ferry in a metallic dark green as his customary annual Birthday present from Porsche, and Seinfeld got the other one, a gray specimen which a lot of us saw parked at the entrance to the LAX Hilton a few years ago at the Lit Show, but I also recall hearing about a Guards Red 993 wide-body Speedster on Ocean Avenue in Carmel a couple of Historics ago.
Since the owner wasn't about, I looked the car over in detail, and I can assure you in absolute earnest that it is impossible to tell whether it came out of Zuffenhausen or not. Everything about this car, the paint, the orange peel, the selection and the apparent quality of parts, the fit and finish all clearly speak Porsche factory. The collections care-taker knew just enough to assure me that it was not a factory-built car, rather, the result of an expensive restoration / modification process to the exact same specs including all reinforcements as used by the Werke in the construction of the two mentioned above.
I must say the 993 shape seems to work much better integrating the "Speedster" components designed for the "K-Program" cars and the 964 Speedsters. The smoothness of the 993 nose is closer to a 356A in appearance. It's hard to tell, but wide hips appear to blend the humps better as well. Certainly better than the current 997-based variation. I say well done. Thanks (as always) for sharing an interesting Porsche.
Wow, the 993 design really lends itself to the Speedster concept. To bad Porsche did not put them into production.
Yup, I agree. Beautiful car.
The 993 Speedster is owned by Rennlister Jeager; the car was also featured in Excellence Magazine. Jeager is very approachable.

BEAUTIFUL 993 "Speedster"curve lover. Very humbling to see your car.
Love the Fuchs wheels - from Otto Fuchs? I suspect it was mentioned somewhere in this long thread - the wheels - are they 18"? What are the tyre sizes and spacers used if any? I am keen to get a set on my 95 993 NB. Thanks in advance.
