Default Country Road - Take Me Home

Was sitting in my office around 9:45 today thinking... it's a bit of a slow day and it's 55 and sunny out. Just got in the GT3 and hit the north Georgia Mountains on a whim and drove. 4 hours, 20 minutes later I just pulled back in my office. 210 miles and I'm thinking... THIS is why I have a GT3. What an awesome day.

Anyways... thought I'd share. Carry on

Thanks for sharing. I am now well aware that I am in the wrong line of work. Lol.
Mission accomplished if the office did not find out you were gone!

Not if you're the BOSS. Lucky you.

Awesome Sean!
You should have called me... I bunked working as well! Drove down to CHA on mountain roads and met up with Curt (GT3 in Cha) for lunch, then spent an hour talking to my tech at the dealership (it was slow for them today so we chatted a ton), then 50 mile drive home on backroads! You are right...THIS is why we have GT3's!

Which roads did you hit?

Did you encounter any gravel or salt at the top of the gaps (I'm planning a drive next week)?

Now that's the way to spend a day "NOT" at work. Well done.

That is so on target, we only live once so must smell the roses and the exhaust of a GT3!

You obviously drive too slow. Still in break-in probably.

Kudos to you.

Sean: that's the polar opposite of my day. I was thinking I bet some _____ is out there having fun while I'm inside trying to pay for my GT3.

Sounds like a great day and great idea. It is too bad you live far away, I would have loved to join you and accompany you with my GT3 on the drive. Mark

It was so spur of the moment - one second I was sitting at my desk, the next I was tearing up GA 400 - need to meet up soon though!

Had no issues to speak of - I think I hit morganton highway, wolf pen gap, richard b russell, unicoi turnpike. Don't exactly know my route... trying to retrace it as best I can on google maps. - I literally just went driving, turning down any road that looked interesting.

Absolutely! Let's get together again!

It's rare to get a window like this, so I was more than happy to oblige! I felt like a new man as I got out of my GT3, still smelling like it had been working hard.

I stopped for lunch... The average, in this case is not a good measure of speed
