I think it's a turn off that the GTR gets 577HP while the more "common place" E63 gets 603HP.

E63 is AWD so it is easier to hold power as compared to a RWD car like the GTS

Nate, I thought you were planning on using the Targa for DD? 370 miles certainly isn't DD. What about the RS, how's it been?

As my driver on weekends which is why it got up to 370 miles. I don't daily anything as my office is in midtown Manhattan, which means the train makes more sense. It would take 3x to 4x longer to drive vs train. RS still un-driven in storage, I might bring it home in March and but haven't decided yet.

On the contrary, I really do not know what the AMG GT-R can do other than in paper it looks great. Please keep us posted how you like that AMG GT-R when you get it. I think I can get a copy from a very good friend of mine who is also a member here and AMG owner of his AMG GT-R DOG (Dealer's Ordering Guide).

This is what he wrote last night about amg brand. He goes by "AMG FAN1" over on mercedes forum.

"Hey ROMEOE55 did you really buy an AMG GT are you dreaming wide awake? How long will you fulfill your dream of owning this AMG GT? Is this gonna happen this generation or are you just like to dream?

Why don't I race your well desired AMG GT with my 991 GT3RS and even give you a three second advantage so I can permanently SHUT YOUR BIG A$$ mouth. You are all talk no show. Come to AUTOBAHN in Joliet Illinois and let me race your POS. Bring your title and make sure it is paid for, as if I win I don't want to pay off your debt when I DONATE your car to my favorite charity. . YOU SLIMY D**K. Go get lost will you. BUY the car and shut the F**K up! "

Drive safe,
amgfan1 (PORSCHE Lover)

This guy, is well ........you can see what a jerk he is.

Thats faster than any Porsche outside of 918. Faster than GT2RS even. No GT3 is getting near that unless its got turbos strapped on.

I would expect the new GT2RS maybe faster than this, but they are not really competitor.

Went with Green Hell Magno for the color with yellow stitching etc interior.

Damn, that's some green hell at the green hell! Maybe if the GT3 burns up, I get one of these. I have a soft spot for AMG.

Good for Mercedes. Not a fan of their styling but have to respect what they have delivered. I have always been treated well in their Dealerships
