CS Roll bar

Lot of bars available, why bother building another knock-off. GMG, Cantrell and other west coaster (Doba_s) have something comparable. Better yet have it retrofitted when you do euro deliver of the new RS....

I only want what belongs in the car, the OEM my CS bar but if Porsche makes it too difficult to sell in the US, we will find our own way. The CS bar always gave me most leg room and looks right. As soon as I know the pick up date I will see if someone in Germany can install the belts and bar for ED. Then remove it, box it up and ship to states to re-install.
But if we can have them ready for installation prior to my cars build date it offers flexibility of skipping that step in Gemany and I'm sure there will be many takers for originals or well made copies.

Quoting a Post by Pete Stout over on the GT4 forum:
"For your purposes, keep your Barney. Just having driven the new RS, and knowing how much time you like to spend on track, RS > GT4.
You've also selected the standout color at the launch. I liked the idea of UV from the start, but worried it wouldn't be as good as Aubergine, which I love. It is. Runner up at the launch was silver with gray wheels. Orange—and LO is orange in person—with black wheels looked good, but a bit "expected." The surprise for me was that I didn't care for the car much in white, with any of the various wheel options, and I normally love 911s in white. It was a distant fourth in person.
Conversely, the U.S. GT3 RS will not have the attachment points in the unibody, and I was told that welding/bonding them in after the fact is not only tricky, but a dangerous game due to fuel lines.
Of course, there are always way$...

As soon as I have a solid pickup date I will book a shop to put in the harness / roll bar, seat belts and wrap, hopefully with a CS bar next to it to copy installation.
I will have to remove bar and seat belts for shipping the car to the states and re-install....
Anyone have any news yet about installing the OEM bar in a non CS RS?

Burning Brakes
UV is nice. I'm a bit more low key and too bad white doesn't look good in person. Silver is always nice, but thought it was too boring. Hopefully there will be some cars in the us soon.

Normally I would be all in for a Clubsport rollbar but if welding in mounting points is going to be that difficult might go with a GMG. I really would like a clubsport OEM if only for the ability to put in the front section. I take it the battery disconnect is also not possible for the US or the polycarbonate windows. Anyone know if there is a front section for GMG or other US roll bars?
