Scott,

The seller is not showing the options tag. That makes it VERY hard to say what the interior color is. It looks lighter than cork to me but darker than linen.

Try looking here:
http://www.landsharkoz.com/colourstart.htm

Looks like Grey-Beige

The sad thing is that I posted this about 8 years ago.

Its got a salvage title- they tell me due to theft recovery. Currently not registered and has no smog history. Asking $7500. they seem firm on price. Car was in storage for 10 years or more. Needs refresh on everything, probably.

I have not seen the car in person.

I looked at this car today.

here are pictures. https://goo.gl/photos/mYBwYGLBTxUn7fVv6

Its an 87. 117K.

tilt up hatch wing. paint looks to be original and the car is straight. no dents that I could see. paint is very scratched, all over, needs correction. Car was wet and dirty so really hard to see. rear bumper has paint cracks, front bumper has several knicks. front fog cracked. headlights came up and worked but mis-aligned. wearing 996 wheels with tires from 2011 and 2013(rear). doors open and close nice but needs new door stops. some door seals need replacement. interior is very dirty but there is no sun damage. Dash and binnacle is crack free but there is a small one starting above the glove box. Sony radio, XRC210. seats are not torn, but dirty and need conditioning. no hard leather. electric adjustments all work. Odometer gear broken. tach didnt work, speedo didnt work until about 30 mph. gas gauge broken. windows work fine. hatch release no working. new parts included- TB, water pump, caps and rotors, plugs, belts, new Lloyds mats, and oil in the car. front spoiler intact, missing 2 belly pans (one loose in the car). tools intact. brakes and steering felt good but car is way down on power. trans shifts ok but rough 2-3. shocks soft. normal looking underbody, dirty and oily. engine mounts collasped, could feel a vibration. could not hear any TT noise. did not test A/C or any HVAC. plate stickers from 2001. no info on current reg, or any if back fees. engine looks to need full reseal and refresh. heard exhaust leak and ticking lifters when cold.

Decent car other wise, complete but a project. Car needs alot or work (and money) but is solid and complete. Worth a save. Asking $7500.

Yes! For sure, that is Alan's car. Darn near one of a kind vehicle.

We haven't seen him around here in a while. I see the car is in Miami.

Perhaps they're selling it for him, or maybe he already sold it to them.

I cannot believe he's selling it. I wonder what they are asking for it...

No asking price listed?

Looks like he wants to dump it before it rolls over 100K miles.

No asking price means too high to list or we don't know what we are dealing with here in this special car.

Does that look like genuine pasha? Something about the pattern and size of the checks looks wrong to me.

After many years out of the 928 fold that Petrol Blue '79 tickled my fancy. Looking for an OB 5 speed Euro in an interesting color for restoration to a very nice driver standard. Any leads greatly appreciated. Cheers, John

That is a very good price for that car. Still the best color on a 928. Although I think when Alan had it resprayed, it looks like it ended up with a slightly more purple hue to it. The paint before he had it redone was a true 9 out of ten. Alan was a perfectionist though and decided to try and make it perfect and had it repainted.

Regarding the super charger, another Alan addition that should have turned this Greg Brown massaged drivetrain into a beast. I suspect all can be returned to stock if desired.

For the person who inquired about the interior, it was an original 10/10 when sold to Alan. I suspect it still is.

Wonder who bought it?

Who butchered this '86 euro with LT1 engine, then put 8" manholes in the front while 7" manholes in the back?

Always loved this car! That does sound like a very high sale price for a 928 with those miles, AT, that's highly modified and been repainted. It truly is a beautiful 928 for sure and it does look a little darker after re spray. You can say it sold for any number when you don't list an asking price...
