Tom M.
I sent the contribution of $500 from 928 OC to your personal account this morning. All of us who voted to support this are envious of the opportunity you guys have to 'show the marque/model' in Carmel.
Best wishes, and post lots of pix here on on the OC web site.

Thanks Gary (and the OC)...
There will be lots of pics for sure... I'm even going to bring my real SLR digital camera rather than using my phone LOL....
Stay tuned..more to come...

This is a great idea. Thanks Tom for starting this. I will not require any of the funds raised, and would of course like the rest of the participants to benefit from this.
Thanks again and see everyone in August!

Do we have a final count of whose is coming and what they are showing. I think we need eight 928 to have our own class. Otherwise, we're in with the front engine water pumpers.
Follow me on Face Book if you would like to see my preparation of Roger's 928.

According to Adam, sounds like we have less than 8, so no separate class. No worries though.... from what I've seen posted (and seen in person) the 928's we have will be stellar.
Once I get the final list, I'll post it up.

I believe the list of participants is being finalized..so I hope to get it up here soon...
Just a FYI....want to lay out some of the costs incurred by folks here as a point of reference..
Entry Fee: $250
Daily Hotel Costs: $200 and up per day (can find some camping cheaper, but it's high season in the Monterrey area)
If the participants are shipping their cars to the event, they can expect to pay between $1000 to $1500 each way.
And of course there are the prep costs etc to get the car ready to for the show...
Lets show them our support as a community and help them where ever we can..
After all..they are truly representing the 928 community as a whole and getting our name in the press...

It's like pulling teeth trying to get the official list. Adam said they should have it by the beginning of the month (July) but I'm still waiting.. From what I gather on the other thread, we have 7 participants now. Here are the ones I know made it in:
Jim and Sue Corenman 1993 Black GTS 18k miles
Mark Woudsma - 1981 White 928 60k miles
Roger Tyson - 1988 Red 928 SE
Chris von Pechmann - 1993 zermat silver GTS 56K miles
Raphael Vinoly - 1980 Slate grey 928 (40kish --unsure of mileage)
Mark Anderson - 1991 Cobalt Blue 928GT
Ones I'm not sure made it in:
Jeff Jeffers - 1989 Red 928S4
Stay tuned....
