Mike was nice enough to send me his cad files on his wing uprights.

I want to make sure that I have the dimensions correct on them before I have them built.

The machinest said that based upon the cad files, the uprights are 12.474" tall. That seems a little short. Can others who have responded to this thread confirm whether or not that seems to be the correct hieght for a wing uprght?

Will you want to be making a few sets?

The only quote I've received so far is $350 for a pair of uprights. If other people are interested let me know and I can check into a volume discount.

I could be up for a pair if we can get more people and the price down. Is it the contours for the bottom? That is making the price go up?

I'm definitely in for a pair....

I've also forwarded the files to Rob F so he can have his guy quote on them... maybe it'll be cheaper???

I think it's the words "Porsche" and "race car".

What would be a target price for everyone? I'd rather just tell him price and quantity and see if he'll do it rather than dicker around with him.

I'm starting a list of potential interested buyers:
Adam B.
Tom M.
Brendan C.
Andrew O.
John G.

If everyone could commit to a price I'll pass it along. Maybe $250? There will local sales tax on top.

In looking over the bid sheet, the actual quote was $171.8799 per Unit. (Yes, that's four decimal places)

Way too much hardware to mount the wing. why not just bend an L so you can use the stock rear hatch bolt holes? that's what I did on the cup car wing.
Im sure you could make a much more refined version of what I did, which is perfectly functional. (using the same thickness as the stock GT3 cup car for uprights as I did)
Its actually a little more functional, in that mine are parallel to the direction of travel, rather than a "toe'd out " configuration, which adds some significant drag at high speed.

Dude, that is so incredibly ghetto I can't believe you didn't go the distance and run a string of flashing LED's up the back of them. <jk>
Actually it's a very easy and effective solution, but I like the design work of the Simard upright.
