Default Steering wheel upgrade

Morining all,

I'm contemplating a steering wheel upgrade and was wondering if this would fit?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Porsche-Tequip...QQcmdZViewItem

I want to keep things looking reasonably stock looking - any ideas as to the options available especially genuine porsche. I have considered a club sport (?) wheel that i've seen fitted in some posts. My interior is all dark blue, except for my jager tip shift which is black - would I need a new adaptor kit? Any photo posts would be appreciated.

Ta very much for any input.

Just found a comprehensive list on 928 specialist web site, pictures of wheels fitted still appreciated though!

Many who fit alternate steering wheels drop to a 350mm dia. vs. the stock 360+. Also, @230#, you can likely have your choice of Momos mailed over at slightly over 1/2 that price, including the correct hub.

930 Sport Steering Wheel - Genuine Porsche Available in most stock colors, so you could order one in Dark Blue to match your interior. Be prepared to pay $400 if you choose this route. Worth it in my opinion.

Shane, Do you need any sort of mounting kit to mount the 930 wheel?

Details here: http://www.billsworkshop.com/P928S4/momo/momo_club4.htm

Horn button is Momo, I see my source has gone up to $50. I see them on eBay for $40 or so.

Bert it is a direct bolt on item. Real easy to do, just give the old horn pad a yank, which will allow you access to the 27mm nut that holds the steering wheel on the column. You might disconnect the Battery before hand so you don't blast your eardrums with the horn. BTDT.

I have a black 930 as well as a Burgundy one I bought from Seth. Both came from 928 Specailists. If you want the part number I'll look it up for you.

Part # 000.043.163.00.7LD

I beleive that is for the Burgundy leather, it might be a little different variation for Dk. Blue

I like the idea of the 930 sport wheel in blue to match the interior.... i'm always wary of how good the color match will be (especially when you factor in postage to the UK!)

Nice site Bill! I have to say your wheel looks factory fitted! Definite option. Any opinions on the wheel pictured? My car is an MY88 and i'm trying to keep the styling contempary with the year of manufacture.

Dark Blue is not available, i know. DR tried to order one for me, was told not available until june '07! just go with the black, it goes well with blue, the center console is black anyway and you won't notice the difference.
