I'd like to know what those feel like in your hand. Those layers are interesting. How much would it cost to get one of those bellhousing plugs in my hand?

With your hands, it doesn't feel much different from rubber or silicone in strength, toughness, stiffness and density.

The layers are strongly bonded in this material - You can feel them (like a thumb print).

I can print the parts for fairly cheap, but shipping out of Canada might be cost prohibitive vs part cost for some. I still need to look into options here.

Windshield wiper nut caps (944 628 305 00) are NLA. I bet you could sell quite a few of those...

Shifter inserts.

Replacement TPS could be a huge one (would have to source the right backing strip and potentiometer internals).

A few BMWs of similar vintage have the same internal parts, but a different connector. (assuming you're talking about the 951 TPS... I have about a thousand NA ones if someone wants one, I think they reproduce in my parts bin)

@Edtay - Thank you.

Let me know if you need me to take more photos of such button from different angles.

As a new 944 turbo owner, which is my first P car, I have to say that I am very impressed with the community knowledge sharing and support I witness and I am proud to join it.

I'm still working on testing - I don't want to sell these if I'm not comfortable with the performance.

Latest version held vacuum long enough for me to call it a pass.

I'm going to boil the hose in a pot for an hour and see if it's compromised in any way. Then another vacuum test. Then some more tests.

Maybe another week or so.

What about a test with motor oil? Although oil degrades rubber, but the OEM vacuum parts have a lot of rubber...

The material (polyurethane) is highly resistant to oil and chemicals (except solvents, gasoline), so engine oil is one of the things I'm not worried about.

If someone can take a temp reading of this area using an infrared gun or similar, I'd feel more confident.

Is that part present on the NA as well, or just the turbo? If it's also an NA part, I can point the FLIR at it if you like.

It's not a turbo part... I thought it was early 944?
