Never been used on my car, bought it when i first obtained my NA many years ago. Have a 968 now so it won't work on my rear bumper.

DUDE... I am actually tempted by this.... That Would also give me a reason to buy a set of skis... just to drive around in my Porsche with skis in a factory ski rack!

Dude, let me think about this for a bit...

Would totally be bad *** to have this, and skis, at the fest... I would be the only kid in the park with a cool toy!

Wonder if one could pass tech to go on track with this fitted... or a set of Skis for that matter!

+1

I already have the factory roof rack with the ski attachment, adding this to the same car would be just the right amount of overkill.

HAHAHA That would be so funny driving on the track with skis on your car.

Believe me, if I still had a 944 that could mount these bad boys, i'd be driving year round with skis! And Im in south Georgia! I'd consider getting a set of tire chains too just to get that 80's in Aspen feel... Again, all year round.

Personally I'd like to see your turbo up again before you buy a ski rack.

But of course your car has a good bit of my old turbo anyways, this would just be the icing on the cake!

Edit: fixed double post

{update} Hi guys,
So, I bought this ski rack just before deploying to the MFO in the Sinai, Egypt. Chris shipped promptly and my mate received it on my behalf and put it away in my garage.

In about May my g/f took my car out to the mall and it was backed into.

Insurance took care of everything and at the start of August my car went to the shop. I just got back from Egypt on Wednesday and picked up my car this morning and the work they did was to a very high standard. I had them fit the rack and also a fibreglass 924 carrera gts spoiler I picked up from the US last year. I forget the vendor but they are mentioned here often and its not GT-Racing.

Anyway, the front spoiler looks great except with me not being able to talk to the shop in person I forgot to tell them about fitting the headlight washers and also about how the lights needed to be setup. Without my input, they used the light surrounds from my bumper to fit them which looks wrong but I'll get it fixed in due course.

I'm driving down the length of most of NZ tomorrow morning to go skiing. Can't wait! (i probably won't take my 944 up the mountain though...)

You should take it up as long as you have all seasons or snow tires on it. I took my 924s to copper mountain 20 times last year and its fantastic in the snow. Ive found i don't miss having a rack though, i can fit 2 snowboards and all the gear needed in the hatch easily. Its nice not having any additional drag at 10,000 feet, the car is working hard enough from the altitude without the extra drag 2 big snowboards create at 75mph

Wow, that is SUCH a beautiful 944! I love the sunroof delete, the color, the front bumper, the Fuchs, and of course the skis! I'm an avid skier, but I still haven't had the ***** to take my 968 to Tahoe, kudos to you, sir.

BTW that fender repair looks great.
