Default 18" Wheels on 964 C2

I am running 18" wheels on the 964. Fronts wheels are 18x8.5 (45) and rears are 18x9.5 (49). I am using 225/40/ZR18 on the front and 265/35/ZR18 on the rear. My front left (drivers side) rubs on the very edge but my right side (passage side) does not at all. Seems to be the screws holding on to the inside fender shields. Has any other 964 owners using the same tire size have issues with rubbing. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks Jim

What year 964 there is a TSB which requires modification to the outer fender area IIRC and installation of steering rack stops. I run 18's despite Porsche's insistence that it is not approved and should not be done. I tracked the one car considerably with no downside. Although IMO a maximum wheel width of 8" up front is best. The extra width or offset could be causing your problem.
