305/30-18 compounds are still very scarce. In fact, I do not know of any quality options currently available. With that said, there are a number of 295/30-18 and 315/30-18 to choose from. The question then becomes, are the appropriate front tire sizes also available in that respective tire? For the sake of our street oriented customers, we are really hoping Michelin broadens their new 18" PS4S line. They currently cap things at 285/35-18 which is of no help to 911 owners.

Keep in mind that many extreme summer and r compound tires run wider than your average street tire. A wide 295 actually mounts up perfectly on an 11" wheel, as the wheel provides maximum sidewall support. Better sidewall support translates to better handling characteristics and driver feedback, and for that reason, we tend to recommend wheel widths on the wider side of the spectrum for a given tire. As always, it really does depend on the application.

Strange that these sizes come up. I just received exactly these sizes in Yohohama Advan A052. And you just shipped a set of 11/12" SM 10wheels for them this morning. So, if the OP can wait a week I can show you exactly how each measures up so to speak. The 295/30/18 Advan A052 is a very wide tire. The stack of 4 tires is 51 1/2" tall. Of course, in my case they are going on a 968 LS swapped car with the 295's being the front tire.

Please do, that would be fantastic! Pictures from multiple angles of both the front and rear wheels/tires would be great.

I can assure you I am pretty excited to see these together for myself. Unfortunately, I am about as far away from Apex as you can be so the shipping might take a week. As soon as they get here they are going into the truck to get mounted up.

You are right James, the Advans' are wide. Here is a picture beside a Michelin Cup 2, both 295's.

Mr. Wolfe
I looked at the tread and section width of basically everything before I went with these. The 295 is a monster in the 295 size.

I found them in a 295/35, but not 295/30.

There is a 295 on the Apex 11" wheel. It fits very well.

Looks good! Got to love 295's on the front. lol I put square 295's on wife's Hilander. She didn't like the tramlining so I removed them the following year.
