Kuhmo victoracer V700 pressures at the track
I currently track my 1988, 911 3.2L using 7&9 turbo fuchs shod with 225/50zr16 and 245/45zr16.
While looking at tireracks web page for tire pressures I see that they recommend 35-45 front hot and 35-40 rear.
The question is should I be running less air in the rear than the front?
I have been running 26 /28 cold and come off the track at 33 /36 or there abouts and stick seems to be ok. Can I have some suggestions on combinations from other running similar setups on tracks like Road Atlanta

I am running the Kuhmo Ecsta V700 (sp?) on a 2001 996 TT and doing a lot of tire temp and pressure & alignment tests, those tires worked best at 24/26 cold. -1.2 neg front camber -1.3 rear.
Anything more on my car and it eats the tires.
I ruined 2 sets figuring this out. But this model tire probably takes a little different setup than yours. So it sounds like you are at a reasonable place.

"Grip of god" I like that.
I'm running the 225/50/16 and 245/45/16 Victoracers too, and hot pressures of about 38 to 40 seem to work best for me. Conventional wisdom is to run a couple of pounds higher at the end that works harder - with my 924S it's the front, with a 911 it's the rear.

I had the new V700s put on my Carrera S and did Watkins Glen last week. Found I have to start with 33 front (cold) and 28 rear (cold) to end up with 40 to 41 lbs front and rear. At 40 to 41 lbs hot, the tires were great. At 42 or 43, they started to get a little loose.

I have the Kumho Ecsta 700's in 225x17 and 275x17 and I run around 38-40 lbs front and 40 rear, both hot. Will be at the Glen next Monday, can't wait.
