8" 70mm offset wheels on rear of Boxster S - spacers needed?
Hello:
For winter I am using 8" 70mm offset Cup wheel on the rear of my Boxster S. It looks little funny. Should I be using a spacer for any other reason than looks? If I want to push the wheels outwards to enhance the look, how big of a spacer should I get, and where?

Check the offset on the stock Boxster S wheels. If you want to get your 8" wheels with 70mm offset close to stock, assuming for the sake of discussion that stock is 55mm, you'd want a 15mm spacer, ie, 70mm minus stock offset equals spacer width.

Thank you. But shouldn't I then add another 12.5 mm for the wheel width difference - 8" to 9"? This would put the outer edge where it is with the stock 17" wheel. BTW, 55mm offset is correct.
