993 Wheels on a 911SC
Will 17" 993 Wheels fit a 1982 911SC or will I have a clearance problem?
I currently have the stock 16" Fuchs but would like a bigger wheel. Thanks!

Not sure about clearance problems, though I don't think there will be any if you stick to the same overall outside diameter and same tire width. You will however need wheel spacers to fit 993 wheels. I don't the size of the spacer though but it is probably in the 25mm range. Check witht he guys at Wheel Enhancment, they are experts in this stuff.

I like the classic look on the classic car -- check out Lindsey Racing - http://www.lindseyracing.com/wheels.htm
I have seen some SC with 964 and 993 body kits that looked pretty good on the track. I also have seen new style wheels on the older cars and some people prefer it.

993 wheel offsets are roughly in the 50mm-60mm range. SC offsets are in the 15mm-23mm range. The difference will require spacers for the 993 wheels to fit on an SC. Check that spacers don't push the wheels out too far.

The 17" Lindsey early style wheel with the polished spokes/black background would look good on my Chiffon 911. On my stock SC, I think my best bet will be 7" front and 8" rear.
Any recommended tire sizes? Thank you all!!
