Post question on tirewear

When I buy the boxster in December im going to lower the car with either the coil over or eibach spring don’t know yet. I have a quick question if any one has either the coil over or eibach I would like to know is if the car has excessive tire ware. My friend has an nsx lowered with 18 19-hre setup and he has the Dunlop tires the only bad thing about his car he burns through the tires like every two to three months. <img src="graemlins/drink.gif" border="0" alt="[cherrsagai]" />

When you do suspension work like that you have to make sure you have the vehicle aligned, did your friend do that?

NSXs are notorious tire eaters. A NSX guy I talked to at the track got 3k on rears when he did several track events; - 6k with no tracking.

Yes, proper realignment after lowering will improve tire wear and handling, but lowering shouldn't reduce tire wear with proper alignment.
