Help- tires creeping on the rims.
Toyo 888's, already tried the hairspray trick, didn't work. Was told that bead blasting the inner rim would work.
Anyone ever try contact cement between the rubber and the rim?

Recently had a conversation with my mechanic about this very subject. FWIW, I respect his opinion greatly and his advice was not to worry about it. Tires can shift around from the forces of accelerating (drag racing) or braking (road racing). Bead blasting the inner rim will help but under no circumstances put any chemicals on the tire. You are setting up the tire for a certain chemical reaction of some sort. Think about when you put a lighter to hairspray, you get a flame thrower and now you're coating a tire and a rim with it that can get scorching hot. It may not catch fire, but adding heat to chemicals is how you initiate a chemical reaction. He won't even use Ru-glyde or soap to mount tires. Fikse rims (and others) are prone to this because both the inner and outer rims are polished.
