Default anyone driven on the hankook RS2?

having some wheels possibly made and they have RS2's in stock like 30 sets for my car... they said they like em but curious to what others think... i just dont want a loud tire.. they did say they have low treadware and im ok with that, just want good wet/dry tire thats not loud.

I ran a set on my SC. They worked well for my use, which was 75% AX and track days, and 25% pleasure drives. I've got about 4500 miles on them, 15 AX's or so, 8 or so track days. They are at the wear bars and are getting hard. I'm looking for new tires, so if you can send me a link to the person who has them, I'd like to buy another set as they were a good compromise for me. You can email me at sbmackie@msn.com

Thanks
Scott

Incredible grip, very street friendly and handled rain pretty well too.

They aren't bad....but.. Dunlop Direzza Z1's will run rings around them and last a fair bit longer as well. If you are after a street / track tyre, these are the best on the market. I have driven on Bridgestone Re01A's, Falken RT 615, hankook Rs2's and Dunlops on both road and track and the Dunlop is definately the best tyre. You won't find a better tyre without going to a full semi slick like a Dunlop Dz03G.

Yeah, I've heard very good things about the Star Specs, but they seem to be unavailable in Porsche 997 sizes. The widest they make is 275.

The RS2 is one of the best tires for what it is (autox / street). I believe it's been replaced by the RS3 though.

BTW For a quiet non-track tire I think I'm going to go with a Conti ExtremContact. Totally different thing than the RS2, it's just a DD that's decent performance and nice and quiet.

I had these on my old e30 - fantastic grip. Much better than the S0-3s they were replaced with.
