Question BFG G-Force Sport Question

The Falkens on my S2 Cab wore thin after 6K street miles so I bought some BFG G-Force Sport tires in the factory sizes for my car. The Pressure is at 36/44. When I turned onto an onramp, the car understeered and started to slip. the tires were warm as i had already driven about 15 fast miles on them. Are the pressures too high? Do the tires really stink this bad? The Ziex didn't slip this bad unles i was really haulin'. What should the pressures be? Thank you in advance.

The pressure sounds a bit high. Try reducing it 2 pounds per corner and see. Are they so new the mold release isn't worn out of the rubber compound yet? You didn't say how many miles were on them.....

The tires have about 200 miles on them. The pressures are what Porsche recommends according to the Gas Cap. Will 2 PSI make such a big difference?? Some people have said go as low as 30/30 but that just seems too low, I don't want to overheat and ruin the tires. I drive spiritedly and fast around where I live, it's the desert so not to many cars around, when there are cars within 1/4 mile I slow down to reasonable traffic speeds.

200 miles isn't much. If they haver not seen rain yet mold release may still be impregnated into the rubber compound.

2-3 lbs is the max you should start with. You do not want to start underinflated and move up, you could damage the tire.

30? No way.....

I have used two sets of G sport tires.. they both worked well ... current size is 225/45-17 and 275/40-17.. I run them as 34 PSI front and rear ..
