993 narrow body sizes would interest me. If the group has a strong preference , I could go with either 17 or 18 inch sizing. I would prefer 18.

The manufacturers of these wheels have decided for now that they are not interested in producing Porsche wheels without a fairly significant initial order (40 sets of 1 staggered size). For now, I think it doesnt really make sense to go ahead with this venture.

I think narrow body sizes would garner more business, especially because they will fit 944s, 928s, 968s, and NB 911s since around 90. 18 x 8 ET 50 and 18 x 10 ET 58 to 65 would fit a lot of cars. Seems like a lot of 19s are for sale now though and I'm not sure how many are selling. IMHO they are too big for the older cars, but that won't keep people from buying them for looks. For track and street use, I think most would stay with 18s. Since the light weights are really ideal for track use, I think you would sell more 18s if you only wanted to choose one size. My .02. I buy and sell a few wheels from time to time.

As a matter of interest, I saw some Rennsport monoblock wheels in an old issue of Excellence (2006). Apart from looking very nice I can't find any trace of these guys. Are monoblock stronger or weaker than 3 piece?

It's a shame nothing ever came of this. I saw a set of these wheels on an e36 M3 at my last autox and loved the look. The price and weight is obviously a plus. I would be all over a set or two if they ever produced them. I am sure we could get a bunch that would agree to buy a set of 18x8.5 et 56 and 18x10 et65 or similar???

I too would have taken a set of the 18's but nothing came of it. However, I was recently made aware that Enkei makes a very nice lightweight (19 & 21 lbs) 12-spoke race wheel (NT03+M) in 18 x 8.5/9.5/10 with the 5x130 Porsche bolt pattern and offset that should work with 951/968/986/996. Attached are pics. Pete at RS Barn passed along the info and advised of a price of $1375 if memory serves correct. See http://www.enkei.com/RacingSeriesSpecs/NTO3+M.html for wheels specs.
