Default Urgent Tire Question: will 285/30/18's fit on a 10" rim?

as the title says, will they?
i know ideally they should be on an 11, but will they mount to a 10" rim properly?
the tires are pirelli's, but toyo's spec sheet on the RA-1's indicates that as high as a 305 can be used on a 10" rim.

285 is the factory recommended size for 993 WB rears which mounts on 10" turbo twist wheels. 10" rims can accomodate up to 295 without any problems. I don't know about 305s.

What about putting those tires on a narrow bodied car?

Narrow body will take the 285s as well...I run them on mine. And if you are real savvy with camber and offsets/width you can fit a 275 up front.
