The kumho will be the best competitive DOT tire you can find, but is
*not* a wet-weather tire. The nitto has more tread so it will work
better initially in the rain. If you limit yourself to dry and damp the
Kumho will beat the Nitto.

Presumably the tread on the Nitto will be short lived, unless it is soley used for wet conditions, therefore.....
