Default FS: BBS Motorsports 3-piece RS Magnesium Center Wheels for 996 GT3/C2/C4S/Turbo

These wheels are 2 months old. I bought them brand new from BBS Motorsports USA. Wheels are in brand new conditions. Not a single scratch.

Size:

Front: 8.5" x 18" ET42
Rear: 11" x 18" ET 65

These wheels were made to fit the stock sizes on the 2004 GT3. BBS doesn't have wheels that match the exact offset on the GT3 (40mm F, 63mm R), and no other brand has that either.

They fit the 996 GT3, 996 Carrera and Convertible, 996 Carrera 4, 996 Carrera 4S and 996 Turbo.

These wheels have magnesium centers and aluminum halves. Their weight is 20lbs for the front and 22 lbs for the rear. These are the strongest and lightest wheels available for a 996.

The increased width front and rear makes the standard 996 to defeat the understeer problem while increasing rear grip.

I'm selling them because I'm buying a 100% magnesium set from BBS Motorsport Japan.

FWIW, the rears will require a spacer on the widebody cars.

Which BBS wheel are you getting from Japan? The RE-Mg?

Viken:

You're right the rear ones require 20mm spacers on the C4S, TT and GT2.

I'm getting the BBS Magnesium wheels in the Manthey Motors GT3. The front ones are 9" which allow me to run slicks.

I paid $5000 for them. I would take a reasonable offer.

The Manthey wheels are 6230 euros shipped, which at today exchange rate is around US$7700. Jan at Manthey Motors doesn't have the import taxes information and me neither, but when I got my cup brake ducts from Gert, Fedex sent me a bill for pending taxes for 5% the sale amount.

This BBS wheels look beautiful on my car, I'll post some pictures later on.

Just curious - what is the weight of these wheels, and what is the weight of the ones you are getting? It sounds like an exciting upgrade!
