Factory Porsche 18" 2-Piece, Sport Design wheels
Dear members,
I have a huge problem.
I thought I was purchasing Factory Porsche 18" 2-Piece, Sport Design wheels 18x8 fr and 18X10 rear for a 1999 996 C2.
The eBay seller now says the sizes are 18X7.5 in front 18x9 rear.
Was this size even made in this wheel?
He als says the tire sizes are 225/40-18 REARS ARE 265/35-18. This size matches my current 996 stock setup.
I'm confused or the eBay seller is confused.
PLease help.

That's the stock size for 18" wheels and tires in a Boxster: 7.5"x18" ET50, 9"x18" ET 52
They fit your 996 and you don't need spacers.
Ideally you should go 8"x18" ET50 , 10"x18"ET 65 in a 996 to fit 285 rear tires.

The other concern is whether you've actually purchased Factory wheels. There are numerous ads for "Sport Look" rims but only a handful for the genuine article. Ernie's usually has the real deal and you'll pay AT LEAST $2K for wheel/tire combos, usually $3K.
To determine if these are Factory parts, you should have the buyer send you the part numbers which are stamped on the inside of the wheel.
Good luck!
