Default Help identifying these wheels

the wheels pictured are 19" 3 piece wheels that came with my 996. They are a nice style but in pretty rough shape, they also have ssr cast into the wheel. I tried researching them but don't see any model on the ssr web site that look like this and doesn't seem to be s factory wheel. I only wad able to find them on an m3 forum from 5 yrs ago. Any help appreciated

Any stamping on the barrel or on the back side of the wheel or spokes?

SSR GT3. We have not sold them in 10 years. They are not intended to be taken apart.

I thought part of the allure of a 3 piece wheel is the ability to disassemble them for repair or refinishing . Why can't you take these apart?

SSR never made available replacement parts or hardware.

These guys are based out of California and can probably help with replacement parts.

Are you sure they are three-piece? I would guess they are two-piece.

Originally, a multipiece wheel allowed motorsports teams to change barrels in order to tune the offsets of the tires. Ease of repair (i.e. replacing only a barrel), I don't think was ever a driving factor but certainly is a side benefit. In most cases though, if the barrel is damaged it is likely the center is also damaged, nullifying the piece-meal repair. A three-piece wheel with a damaged barrel should have the center crack tested.

While three-piece wheels have fallen out of favor, they are still popular.

Some two-piece wheels were created for a similar reason, but most are really just trying to resemble the three-piece look.
