Pilot Super Sports vs. PILOT SPORT 4S
Hi folks, first post here at Rennlist.
I'm looking to get some new tires for my '08 997 C4s. Can someone help me to understand the pro's and con's of the Pilot Super Sports vs. the PS4's? I'm being advised to go with the latter, but just want to make an informed decision.
Thanks!

I put them on my Spyder a few months ago. Can't really tell the difference over the several sets of PS2's I've had, but they certainly felt every bit as good. The consensus in the press is you go with the PS4. A couple examples:

Haven´t tried the PSS´s but I do have the PS4’s. Not only the PS4 has a fantastic grip but also the tire is very quite if compared to my previous Pirelli P-Zero’s. Right now my tire of choice by far.....

hate to bring this one back from the dead but I see that you can still get Pilot Super Sports and they come in GT4 sizes. I always thought that the pilot sport 4S replaced that tire. Any one have experience running the pilot super sport in 2023?

You are quite correct the PS4S was the replacement for the SS, and the new generation has proved to be a better tire in almost all areas by virtually all the testing done With rumors of a replacement for the 4S in the near future , why buy a 2 Generational tire in the SS unless you can't find the tire in the size you require.
