Karting in LA
Hi gang
I'm coming to LA (Torrance) tomorrow through Friday afternoon. I was hoping to do some karting while I'm there. Where should I go?
Some helpful tips on answering...
I've been karting since I was 7 (I'm 43 now). I've been in leagues, but haven't been in a kart for probably 6 months. I teach at DE events nearly every weekend, and if I have free time at all, I head out for a few quick laps at lunch at the local race track in my Boxsera.
So the "family fun center" is definitely NOT what I'm looking for. I'm not a fan of the electric karts, although I've tried them only once, and if enough of you say it's really the best around, I'll try again.
So, what say you?

There's nothing close besides K1. Here are a few of the local tracks that I'm aware of.

I'm back, and I think I've convinced my boss to get his butt kicked karting. I really don't like the electric karts, but will suffer through them if it means not driving an hour to Riverside. Although, when I lived in DC, I drove 45 minutes to Allsports GP, so I shouldn't complain.
In your opinion, which of these listed here (except Jim Russell as Sonoma is a bit far) is the best. Yes, I am asking for an opinion. =-)
There's also something like Kart World here. I think I saw it and feel like I should probably run screaming from it. But anyway, is it as bad as it looks?

I like Pole Position, they are electric, but they sure do go. You just have to tell they guy that regulates them not to limit your cart. They do this so that the person coming on track the first time doesnt crash in to every barrier.
