OT - Need dinner suggestions for Monterey,CA area
Hey all,
I'll be in Monterey next weekend for the MotoGP races @ Laguna. My 2nd wedding anniversary also falls on the same weekend, so I'm looking for some suggestions for a nice quiet dinner.
Only real requirements are:
1) GOOD food. We both like food, a lot. Food > atmosphere. Not interested in some $200/plate place if the food is not something that gets you salivating over when you think about it.
2) Anything under $100/head or so.
3) Not too far from Monterey. We're actually staying in Pacific Grove, and I've been down to Monterey enough times now that I'm somewhat familiar with the area, but I don't want to get lost driving to a place that's 2 hours away, either.
4) Preferably a place that will take reservations, so we can be guaranteed a table amidst the crowds of people that will be down there that weekend.
Thanks!!
Jim

The best place IMHO is "The Fresh Cream"....best food located in the marina. Sardine Factory is not what it used to be and really gone down the tubes compared to 10 years ago.
good luck
