Default New owner, looking for best Porsche tire shop in Portland, OR

Hi Folks! I just bought my first 911, a 09 Carrera S, in GT Silver Metallic and cocoa interior. Like many of you this has been a childhood dream so I'm super excited to start my journey as a 911 owner! Spent a lot of time working this deal and getting to terms. Got a thorough PPI done and there is some work that I am getting done next week with a water pump replacement and new belt, rollers, and tensioners. Will get it done at Matrix who I'm hoping can be my long-term shop here in the area.

I do also need new tires. Got good amount of tred left on my Bridgestone's but they're from 2016 and can def feel it. Thinking about getting the Michelin Pilot 4S tires, but one of the only places nearby that has them is Costco and I was told I am really gambling going with them as they have a bad reputation for f'ing up basic work. Does anyone have any highly recommended tire shops in the Portland metro area? Not super easy to source these tires I'm learning. Les Schwab unfortunately doesn't have them. If any other high quality tire recommendations I'm all ears, esp if cheaper haha. Any feedback would be highly welcome!

Here you go: https://www.honeybeetire.com

You order your tires directly from Tire Track, ship to Honeybee and he’ll come and mount the wheels tires wherever you want.

Enjoy the car!

Congrats on your 997.2 S.H.!
We appreciate you seeing us for the post-purchase repairs. I know our team of Porsche specialists will treat you and your 911 right!
I'm not familiar with Honey Bee, but their pictures look good. If it's more convenient in the future, our locations also offer tire M&B'ing services and we're a TireRack preferred dealer/installer.

Hi welcome. Yes I purchased it from DC Motors. My only recommendation is to definitely make sure you get a pre-purchase inspection, either from Marquee Motors or Matrix or Stuttagard. You won’t really get a full sense of what shape the car is in and how much money you’ll have to put in. I had to get brand new tires, pulleys/tensioners, and water pump and wasn’t cheap but knew it going in after the PPI and was able to get the price down a bit. But will say overall now the car is a blast to drive and what DC told me about the car prior to selling it to me was true.

Best availability you’ll find is at DC, Grand Prix and Freeman. The cleanest Pcars I’ve seen have been at Grand Prix and a bunch of those cars are sold on consignment. All these guys will tell you they can’t move on price and market it Portland metro area is very tight blah blah but as soon as you tell them you are going in another direction they’ll play ball which is very annoying. Even moreso than what it was trying to negotiate in LA or NY. Any particular model you are looking at specifically?

@sohelhss thanks for the reply and details on PPI and recommendations. They really do have the cleanest looking facilities and porsche photos haha. but really, walking around GP is like a museum for the modern 911s anyway.
I almost bought a black 2004 Targa it's in the bay area right now, honda fremont (though its photos are best seen on CL for odd reason) I made me realize i want a 997 Targa or newer so gonna be at least 2 years till i can a) pay my tacoma off and b) save up for a 2010+ Targa which is gonna be 60 if not 80+k.?
have you taken the car to any car meets? there's the cars n coffee in Hillsboro i believe every saturday. Im really looking to see some 911's in person at a meet this summer and maybe get a chance to be co pilot for a spirited drive.
keep me posted im between St John's and Interstate (north portland) area. cheers!
