Fellow Los Angeles area Rennlisters! CA is shut down...again. It sucks, but at least it means roads will (hopefully) be open again! So how about a social distancing group drive this Saturday morning? I'm thinking 9am up the crest to Newcombs and back? Newcombs will be closed but we can keep our distance and take some pics and drive back down.

i do canyon runs but only with people i know. if we have a few beers before we drive up and get to know each other that might work......

I'm up for meeting other members and having a few beers, but probably not a good idea right before we go on a drive

i should also mention the roads are pretty jammed both in malibu canyons and ach on weekends.

9am on weekend isn't good, way to many cars and bicyclists. I ideally, meet 7am, leave 715am. Maybe try to get group together?

It is an "at your own pace" drive but I have seen people at the gas station at the bottom of ACH as early as 7am and as late as noon because I use that gas station regularly regardless. I always just drive up solo when I go up. I have shown up between 8am and Noon or so and seen people coming, going, and parked. It is kind of loose knit rather than a big train going up the mountain. Besides Porsches, I have seen some amazing cars on these Fridays too.
Newcombs normally opens at 9am and closes at 4pm. I usually go for breakfast or lunch but any time I go, there are cool people up there and cool cars + motorcycles + cyclists, and etc. Friday has been the day I go when I go for a few years up to this covid mess.
