[Santa Cruz] Mountain drive this Sunday (August 27th)?
Anyone up for a drive in and around the Santa Cruz mountains on Sunday? How about we meet at the Hwy 35/Hwy 9 parking lot at 6:30 (sun is up at 6:35AM).
One option is 35->84 to the coast and perhaps back via Bonny Doon/ Empire Grade. If there's interest I can do a bit more research.

Ack... I'll probably have to take a rain check.
Just got an invite to a party for the Mayweather/McGregor fight on Saturday night.
That'll be a late night with significant amounts of adult-beverages, so I won't be up for an early Sunday morning drive.
Karl.

Great drive this morning. Only got stuck behind two cars for a few miles out of the entire 90 mile loop. Hwy 84 from Hwy35 to the coast was probably the highlight, though Pine Flat Road is pretty good also. The only negative is the potholed Jamison Creek, but that's only a few miles.

I run that loop about once a month just to get the cobwebs out.
I'm off on a week's road trip starting Labor Day, then a week later off on a trip to Yellowstone and Glacier NPs. Won't get a chance to run locally until mid-October.
