Please PM me for a longer PDF advertisement for the vehicle and a library of over 1000 photographs over the course of my ownership. I do a lot of DIY postings on Rennlist, search under my username "RicardoD" Would love to see this car to go to a Rennlister or future active member.

In July of 2012 I dropped the engine and embarked on an “engine rubber reseal / refurb”. Engine gasket reseal means I tore down the engine as far is it would go but didn’t open up the heads (valve job), cylinders, crankshaft, etc. The car had 71k miles at that point and need need to open up engine or crankcase. Here is what I did do and my 20k trouble free miles since then has proven my judgement was correct.
  • Original Bosch Alternator rebuilt
  • New alternator, air-con, and engine fan belts
  • Engine fan bearing replaced
  • Rebuilt dual distributor (new belt, new distributor shaft seal)
  • New distributor caps & rotors
  • New spark plugs installed
  • New spark wires installed
  • Fuel injectors removed, and rebuilt by Witchhunter performance
  • Power steering pump rebuilt with new seals
  • All new gaskets O-rings around power steering pump housing
  • New oil temp sender and oil pressure gaskets installed
  • New chain tensioner and oil bridge gaskets installed
  • Distributor vent kit installed
  • New Bosch ignition coils
  • All engine tin powder coated
  • Valve adjustment & gaskets
  • All cam housing gaskets, and o-ring replaced
  • Complete brake system and clutch fluid flush
  • Front and rear brake lines replaced (always do this for safety if you have no history of it on an old car).
  • New front and rear brake pads and sensors
  • New fuel filter
  • New engine mounts installed (993 Rein mounts)
  • New Tiptronic transmission filter, seals, gaskets installed
  • Tiptronic transmission fluid flush
  • Power steering fluid flush
  • New air filter
  • Rear decklid and front hood gas struts
  • New firing order sticker
  • New Shell Lubricants sticker
  • New R135a conversion sticker
  • Rear crankshaft seal replaced
  • Secondary shaft seal replaced
  • R134a recharge
  • New front left headlamp replaced (was cracked, another PPI miss!)
  • New door sills
  • New lower rocker panel rubber (both sides)
  • Billet aluminum valve covers (my one mechanical deviation)
  • Low tone horn replaced
  • Windshield washer line block fixed with correct clamps
  • Rear spoiler curtain replaced
  • New engine insulation pad installed
  • Aircon bracket modified for easy cam chain cover housing gasket repair down the road
  • Sunvisor clip repair
  • Power steering reservoir line replaced to address slow leak
  • Installed new front seat belts as originals had tears
  • CCU unit removal and cleaning to air sensing port and thermister
  • CCU air sensing fan replacement and repair
  • New air filter
  • I bought a used Porsche air compressor to complete what should be in the front trunk.
  • New Sears Die Hard battery - June 2016
  • Replaced all the bulbs throughout car that were neglected (license plate, new silverstar halogen headlights).
  • I had a mobile Porsche mechanic help me with the final Cam Timing (and he taught me the tricks of the trade to do it right).
  • New oxygen sensor (July 2014)
  • Full stereo system upgrade, Alpine, separate amp, handsfree bluetooth, integrating Lightning charger for your iPhone.
  • Center console conversion to LED (ToreB kit) - March 2016
  • Ignition switch replaced (wasn’t springing back) - June 2017

... more details in a PDF I can provide to you if you contact me, which will include the "not so perfect" details on this car...
