ENDS TODAY - 7PM PST.
Three owner car. Completely original - wears original paint, undercoating, interior, carpet, which it left the factory with. Look at the detail shots - it's all there, in excellent condition. The only modification is the aftermarket stereo system. Low mileage - 82,000. Every record from new, including window sticker, owners manual, and warranty booklet.
Options include:
- Heated outside mirror, right
- 7x16 alloys
- Protective side molding
- Cassette holder
- Electric sliding roof
History of the car - Bought new at Bozzani in West Covina. San Diego car it's whole life. The last record I have with the original owner's name is in 2008 and 46,000 miles. Next owner had the car until 81,000 miles. Both took meticulous care of the car and kept it garaged, as shown by extensive service records and condition of the paint and interior. It's difficult to find a 928 which has been taken care of like this one has.
Exterior - The factory Mocha brown paint is in fantastic condition. Even on the trim and bumpers, the paint is deep and shiny. There is one small scuff on the passenger side mirror, and behind the passenger side rear wheel. I believe the rear bumper has been repainted, but color and condition of paint matches the rest of the car perfectly. This color suits the car well - deep and rich, looks very dark on cloudy days and really pops in the sun.
Mechanical - The maintenance records indicate that things have been kept in excellent shape - and it shows! No leaks, no bad noises from the engine or transaxle. Everything is tight and strong.
Suspension and steering is tight and responsive, brakes are solid, tires are Dunlop Dirreza Z1s - awesome tire, and brand new.
Interior - All original here as well. The leather in the 928 is much softer with a smoother grain than what they used in the 911. It's all in excellent condition in this car. All cloth inserts are in excellent condition - no rips or stains. I've never seen this pattern in the cloth before - it's no Pascha but it really suits the 928!
Small interior issues - The leather has contracted and is warping on the dash a bit, and there is a little wear on the drivers side outer bolster (see photos) The previous owner installed speakers in the doors and the rear panels, and there is an amp in the drivers side rear footwell. Other than that, everything is as it left the factory and very nice.
If you're in the market for a manual 928, you know how difficult it is to find one in this condition. If you've been thinking about getting one, now is the time! I believe these cars are going to take a huge leap in value in the coming years. I just sold Magnus his green '78 - Get in on the action before his marketing machine sends the pricing on these things through the roof

Thanks bud, fully aware. Find me another one this nice.
Might be trying to get next years money for it. Or euro money - look at what they're going for over there.
Likely going to buy my friend out - I was selling this one for him, but I fell in love with the car.
Edited because it's worth noting - I have had interest at this price.

i'll go out on a limb and say, in time, this price will seem very reasonable for an early 5-speed car. minus the GT and GTS models, i think it's going to be the early 4.5 cars that are cool to own. i'd love to have my euro '78 again!

Thanks rsabeebe. I agree 100% - I bought a 964 C2 back in '12 and sold last month.. I can feel the same thing happening with this car.
I miss my '78 as well. And I keep seeing it on Instagram!

Thank you, sir. A better video is going to be available next week - making more of a commercial for this thing/the 928 in general.
Last timing belt and water pump was done in '09 at 41k Miles. But the car got head gaskets in '12 and there are some illegible items on the invoice - deductive reasoning tells me the belts were likely replaced.

I agree, maybe in due time this will be the market. I'm hoping as our family has 3 of them and would like to cash in once prices get like 80's 911's! Good luck and nice car!

Not sure I can handle the peanut gallery flappin their gums over there anymore. Targa is doing okay in spite of it.. we'll see.
And I'm really leaning towards buying this car for myself. Friend agreed to sell and the wife is cool with it. I drove it to work today to show it to an interested Rennlister and I think that commute sealed the deal.
