It's time to sell my beloved 993 and get a street 993. Many on Rennlist and in PCA know my 993 to be a very well developed and prepared car that is fast and forgiving. It is that rarest of race cars in that it has gone to the podium quite a few times and, yet, never been wrecked. Some cars are eternally unlucky and are constantly breaking or getting dented; my car is one of the lucky ones, I suppose.

-1995 G class 993 with PCA logbook. Should be able to run in NASA GT5S with ballast, GT4S or H prepared.
-approximately 57,xxx miles (going off of memory, car at another location)
-100% stock and fully legal motor
-full Piper Motorsports cage with NASCAR-style door bars. Piper is THE go-to constructor of cages on the East coast.
-stripped interior
-Chris Cervelli-tuned, Moton Club Sport suspension with Hypercoil springs, 700f/900r (have, IIRC, 1200lb springs, too)
-Porsche front strut brace
-slotted camber plates (I think these are Bob Holcomb's products)
-TRG sway bars, front and rear
-ERP suspension bearings (rear)
-stock 993 "black" brakes with Hawk HT-10 pads
-rebuilt and cleaned ABS pump
-Castrol SRF brake fluid
-DACH stainless steel cat bypass
-Fabspeed Supercup exhaust (Jet Hot-coated)
-AC delete (no compressor or AC lines)
-Cargraphic oil cooler
-solid motor mounts
-solid transmission mount
-Guards limited slip differential
-RS lightweight flywheel
-forged billet shifter forks (1st and 2nd gears)
-steel syncros (3rd and 4th gears)
-Rennline engine carrier reinforcement
-996 cup car clutch (RS clutch is too light-duty for real track use)
-Momo Mod .07 wheel in black suede (the only wheel to have, IMO)
-Recaro Pro Racer HANS driver's seat
-Recaro Pole Position passenger's seat
-welded Brey-Krause seat back brace
-Sabelt racing harnesses (outdated)
-G2X data acquisition with sensors
-Rennline driver and passenger race floor boards
-Rennline aluminum pedals
-RS short throw shifter lever
-Cool Shirt cooler with shirt and tubing
-custom Cool Shirt mounting plate
-two-way radio antenna
-IO Port roll bar camera mount
-digital video camera
-ignition kill switch
-Odyssey 925 AGM battery
-aluminum battery mount
-solid oak, quarter round hood prop
-RS front splitters
-Xpel clear bra on front bumper and hood
-Elephant Racing magnetic bra on top of Xpel
-3.8 RS rear wing with leading edge element. I have two, custom spoiler sections that have to be used in G class (can't use the normal wing since it's a leading edge) to run a "wing" with uprights. The spoiler piece is aluminum and fits in place of the wing. Bob Scotto, Jeff Burger and Ron Savenor all ran this piece when their 964 cup cars were allowed to run the 3.8 RS wing. It is a gorgeous, handmade product crafted by Tom Florio at Advanced Automotive and is no longer made by him.
-996 cup car SPA fire extinguisher system (not installed)
-Fikse FM-10 18" wheels with race satin centers
-17" cup wheels with Hoosier wets

Career highlights: 14 wins, 3 2nds, 7 3rds, Best Prepared Car Winner at Watkins Glen and Worker's Choice Award at Summit Point. The car is easily capable of winning/hitting the podium, especially now that PCA has allowed a lower weight in G class to make the 993 even more competitive.

I have had this car for twelve years and, amazingly, the car has never, ever been wrecked and has never had any major body work. I had a careless grid worker at Putnam back me into a guard rail as I was gridding for a race, so the rear bumper has some dings in it from that incident. There is a bit of rust at the base of the windshield (common in the 993s), and the windshield could be replaced (small star crack that has been in place for years but isn't migrating). It has some rock chips in the fender guards. The front of the car has been very well protected by the Xpel and the magnetic bra, but areas where the Xpel didn't cover such as the RS splitters are not perfect.

That said, the car is in really great shape, but it's clearly not a concours winner. There might be cracks in the rotors. The Michelin Pilot Sport Cups have decent tread, but they're not qualifying fresh. Pads should be okay, but I didn't really check. These items are consumables. If you're considering a race car, understand that it's a race car and please become educated so that your expectations are managed.

This car spent the first four or five years as a street car and then became a car that I drove 99% on the track. It is technically street legal since it's tagged and titled. I've actually been stopped/been given warnings by two police officers, and neither of them cited me for the loud exhaust, roll cage, etc. Lucky, I suppose. I have a lifetime emissions waiver from the state of Maryland, so it never needs to be smogged again. It's spent the past five years as a street car and hasn't been on the track for several years.

Price: $48,000 with spare parts such as extra tires/wheels, extra spoiler insert, etc.

Great car, superb driver. End of an era! (I'd offer to trade you, but sounds like you're looking for one with the elusive air ride suspension ;-) ).

@Rich - thanks for your help! I'm going to miss the car.

@Sam - thanks, pal. The horseshoe is for sale, but it will cost another $6,000. Will deliver clean. So lucky with this car.

Going to miss you at the track, but I can crew chief for you.

What the hell happened to all of my photos? They're all JPEG links. Weird.
