I am selling my 2006 CTT daily driver with 116,500 miles. Clean blue title. Located in Houston. Never flooded. Purchased in March 2017 with ~101,000 miles; I am the 2nd owner. The ONLY reason I am selling is because I recently bought a 2006 one-owner Cayenne Turbo S with 30,000 miles. Having three Porsches is fun to say but more than is practical. As you will see I have maintained this as though I’d have it for the next 5+ years. This is one of the best vehicle performance/luxury/utility/price propositions in the world right now. The car needs nothing and is ready to be your daily driver. I just installed a 9” Android 8.0 head unit to bring technology up to 2018 and make this easier to sell. I recorded several videos of this Android installation with Bose and backup camera to edit and post as a tutorial for the Rennlist community.

Known history prior to my ownership:
- November 2006 4 new snow tires purchased and installed at Porsche of Spokane in Washington for $1275. 4,600 miles
- June 2011 in Beaverton Oregon there was a detail, 2 rotors and pads replaced, a 60,000 mile service, and blake fluid flush for $2,220. Mileage was 59,000.
- September 2011 application for Texas Title (same owner) at 60,345 miles
- March 2014 Texas-German Autohaus in Houston. Due to fault codes they replaced Breather line 94810721552 and Intake gasket 94811014501. They were charged $140 for 9 quarts of oil and $190 to read the CEL (LOL!) Total bill $1783 at 83,000 miles.
- November 2014 Texas-German Autohaus in Houston. $210 oil change at 89,000 miles.
- November 2014 Costco four new Michelin Latitude HP 275/45R19 for $1370 at 90,000 miles. Nitrogen filled… fancy!
- March 2015 Texas-German Autohaus in Houston. Replaced front rotors and pads. Refinished rear rotors and replaced pads. $2000 at 92,500.
- August 2015 Texas-German Autohaus in Houston. Oil change at 96,000 miles. Only charged $82 for oil this time! But still $200 otd.

Maintenance during my ownership:
March 2017 – I had “brake booster faulty” error. Hoses had cracks and foam was worn away so I replaced with hose assembly 955-355-579-51 ($135). Replaced side marker bulbs. Replaced blinker bulbs and I flaked some brittle insulation in headlight assembly causing malfunction of headlight. I ended up snipping all wires internal to the headlights, adding heat shrink insulation to them, and re-soldering. Replaced trunk hatch struts 955 512 550 06 ($65). Replaced washer fluid fill cap 955-528-607-01 ($10).

April 2017 – Coolant level dropping over time. Stopped driving and purchased parts for metal coolant line replacement. Removed manifold and saw that plastic coolant lines already replaced with metal by a prior owner! Discovered problem was actually failed seam on coolant expansion tank so I replaced it 955-106-147-23 ($80). Topped off with 1:1 mix of yellow Prestone OAT Extended Life coolant and distilled water. Oil change on 04/18/17 at 104,470

May 2017 Oil leak observed coming from valve cover. Replaced gaskets both sides 948-105-932-05, 948-105-931-03, 948-105-933-00 ($100). Photos inside valve cover: https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...ubleshoot.html Thoroughly cleaned every part before replacing. Replaced spark plugs with Bosch FGR6KQE ($60). During disassembly I was unable to disconnect a wire that lays on top of valve cover. I snipped and soldered on an extension long enough for future disassembly (orange looped wire in photo). Also broke a locking pushtab on a vent line… I think 948-107-214-51. I just secured it with electrical tape rather than purchase entire new hose assembly ($135).

May 2017 – Replaced both engine air filters 95511013100 ($50) and cabin air filter 95557221910 ($25).

Feb 2018 – Replaced wiper blades with Bosch Aerotwin 3397118942 ($30). Replaced front battery with Bosch Pep Boys Part #:49-850B ($180).

March 2018 – At advice of fellow Rennlister I started using Zinc ZDDP additive to combat cam shaft pitting.

April 2018 – Heard brake booster pump occasionally. Founds cracks on connection at entry to firewall. I removed, taped with electrical tape, replaced, and added additional electrical tape. Problem solved.

April 2018 – Dipped beam error driver side. Replaced headlight harness 955 631 239 11 ($50) and error went away. Replaced Xenon headlamp bulbs D1S 35W 4300K ($35).

April 2018 – Swishing sound heard while cornering and passenger floor felt damp. I soaked up all the moisture I could and unclogged the drain plugs. Water fell out onto the concrete. Issue solved.

May 2018 – 111,000 miles. One tire had a bulge so I bought four brand new 10-year-old tires from a guy that sold his cayenne and never installed the tires on any vehicle. Paid $160 for mount, balance, and alignment. Pirelli P Zero Rosso 275/45/ZR19.

June 2018 – Pre-emptively replaced front brake pads with Brembo P85065N ($80). Squeaking resolved. Rear brake pads Brembo part number is P85088N but they are not due for replacement soon.

July 2018 – ~114,000 miles Rough engine in the driveway on startup two days after a 1,400 mile, problem-free, zero burnt oil drive. CEL of P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected. I immediately parked and did not drive until replacing all coil packs 948-602-104-22 ($310) and also spark plugs with Bosch FGR6KQE ($60). Cleared the error code and have experienced silky smooth driving for 600 miles since.

September 2018 – Oil changed at 114,800. Checked Cardan shaft and it is in great condition - rubber is all there. Parking brake works great but upon release light sometimes stays on. If I hold the release and reach down and pull up the foot lever the light goes off until next use. Parking brake damper replacement 955-423-389-00 ($15) ordered. Replaced all clips on door sill trim 955-559-547-00 ($15). Front seats had vinyl backs pop off; reattached both with 3M High Strength 90 adhesive spray.

December 2018 - Oil leak fixed (hose found disconnected and leaky gasket 955-110-721-00 replaced for $10). Serpentine belt 999-192-380-50 ($60) replaced. Engine bay and engine trays thoroughly cleaned. Torque damper 955-375-101-13 replaced ($90). Squeaky center armrest fixed.

Features and Positives:
- Factory Bose speakers, factory tow package, factory backup camera, parking sensors.
- Metal coolant pipes.
- Front Battery, Tires, Valve Gaskets, Coil Packs, Spark Plugs, Torque Damper, Rear Brake Pads, Air Filters, Brake Booster, Bulbs, Headlight Wiring, and Coolant System all recently done (by me) and should not need to be addressed in the near future.
- Side mirrors drop and change angle when you go into reverse to see the tire approach the curb while parallel parking.
- I changed the PCM head unit to 9” Android 8.0 flat screen with Bluetooth, wifi, integrated steering wheel buttons and using factory backup camera. Installed USB cable as well for music or updates. Had to sacrifice factory dash compass.
- Integrated Escort Radar Detector installed with power supply, mute button, and hidden On/Off switch. Lights up green inside driver reading light and flashes red when signal detected. Probably cost previous owner $1700+
- No accidents or paintwork to my knowledge. Original spare in trunk unused.
- Windshield has no cracks. 1 small star smaller than a dime and out of view.
- Previous owner installed new headrests with DVD screens in the back. I never used them but they are routed to an RCA faceplate with 120VAC interter.
- Dark tinted windows (no bubbling) and rear sunshades.
- Keyless entry. Two keys. All manuals. Original window sticker.
- Automatic lights. (For some reason my CTTS does not have this…)
- Nonsmoker

Negatives:
- Typically consumes/burns oil over time. Bank 2 turbocharger (driver side) is leaking oil while idling. FIXED December 2018.
- The instrument cluster speaker just went out so there are no door chimes, seatbelt chimes, or blinker sounds. I consider it a ‘feature’ ha! Replacement cluster speaker in hand and I can install it if you want it.
- There is a 4 inch hairline crack on the front bumper where it meets the hood. Not really noticed unless you look for it.
- The headliner was sagging. I reattached it to the ceiling with headliner corkscrews. They may need adjustment every 6+ months.
- Passenger "Cayenne Turbo" kickplate bent and re-bent back into place.
- Middle console sometimes squeaks with your arm on it and may need foam or sound-deadening of some sort. FIXED December 2018 with Blaster Silicone Lubricant Spray
- Carbon fiber trim peeled up in a few places and I cracked a couple when removing to readhere.
- Curb rash on wheel edges.
- Keys don’t unlock from very far away (~20 ft). Common with keyless entry.
- Some scratches on front passenger seat.
- Aftermarket head unit means dash compass feature lost and FM quality reduced.
- Worn and broken plastic on top of rear seats under headrests. Seatback-dropper levers work fine but require a specific technique to keep them from breaking in the future. Seatbelts and metal brackets under rear seats causes leather wear on seatbacks, especially under heavy loads.

Negotiables:

- I have the matching black cargo net 955551691023W4 and vinyl luggage hider 955551773059ET. They go for about $700 each on Pelican.
- I have the original Porsche crest headrests in like-new condition. I am planning to sell them here or on eBay.
- I have the aluminum roof rails that run parallel to car. Planning to keep for my CTTS.
- I have the original PCM and under-passenger-seat CD changer. I am planning to sell them here or on eBay.

Advice to future owner:
- Check oil level every month or 500 miles driven. Top up as needed. Keep 2L of Mobil1 0W-40 in the trunk side compartment.
- Check the cardan shaft rubber bushing for wear occassionally. I'll put a Jimi Fix kit in the trunk for emergency use but the bushings look fine.
- When dropping the rear seats remove the headrests, push on connection point of seatback-dropping-lever with one hand while rotating the lever with your dominant hand. Consider taping foam pipe insulation on the seatbelts and metal brackets under the seats when dropping seats to protect the seatback leather from wear. Don’t keep seats dropped longer than necessary and avoid putting heavy loads on the seatbacks.
- Open the trunk fully before letting go.
- Fix future issues yourself! Find part numbers at https://www.porsche.com/all/media/pd...PA_KATALOG.pdf and then buy them at Pelican Parts or Sunset or ECStuning or Autohausaz. In my experience this car is easy to work on.

The current pictures are awful and are merely placeholders until I get the car cleaned up. I want to get this thing on the market so ask away and let me know what non-obvious pictures you may want.
