2006 Cayenne Turbo
The armrest has been squeaking and bothering me for the better part of a year. I've tried foam, felt, rubber, and a spray on the hinge and it just wouldn't quit.

This week I tried another spray called Blaster Silicone Lubricant that I picked up from home depot for $3.50. I sprayed the upper and lower hinges and made a bead along every single crack that had plastic on at least one side, including above and below the front buttons. Excess wiped up easily after with shop towel. Squeaking is GONE. Silence in the cabin for two days now.

Oh I will have to try that. My squeak comes from the lower compartment.. the upper compartment rests on the plastic corners, which squeaks and groans when it gives ever so slightly.

Thanks for the tip. Ours do that and it drives me nuts.

That's funny. I have that silicone in the cabinet downstairs and have wondered how to fix that squeak forever. Will try.
