Nice story. I rerember my dad so graciously let me take his g50 convertible to prom (of course my daily was a Toyota Previa aka the football) and I've been p car lover ever since!

Selfishly, I got to spend time with my 16 year-old son in a Porsche (he couldn't escape from me ) and create my own memories. "There is no substitute" for that experience!

Congrats on the new car. I was just doing a VIN search for my old car and came across this thread. I was the owner before David. My father and I purchased the car from Paul Miller Porsche in NJ (Where I worked as a salesman at the time) and took it to a ton of PCA Driver Ed events at Watkins Glen, Pocono, VIR, NJMP and more. i have to say I was a little upset I missed an opportunity to buy that car back as it has so many memories with my father and I, but after reading this it makes me few good that it's at a good home and being used for you to make memories with your son.
