While we normally use other means to try to procure this level of cars, this one was actually traded in to us on a retail transaction.
The PO was just not being able to enjoy the car beside looking at it everyday and wanted to move on to something he could actually drive and enjoy.
While I am certainly not at the level as many of you in life yet, if I was I would definitely drive and enjoy something like this but I completely understand the investment side as well.

I had stripper versions of both at one time. I sold the 2rs earlier this year; still have the 4.0. Sometimes I think I could have just sold everything and kept those two and been done. I think the 997 2rs is the car I will most regret selling down the road.

They each represent the pinnacle of the 997 platform and mezger engine. Between the two, I kept the 4.0 because it could be enjoyed at speeds that kept me out of jail (barely).

Porsche produced some GT magic 2010-11: 997.2 2rs, 3.8rs and 4.0rs. One or more of those are must-own IMO. PNH has to get better looks at those 3 cars than anyone in the market. GLWS.
