A splendid specimen of Porsche’s early years in America, this 356 is an investment in fun, history, and collectability. Following the Speedster and the Convertible D, the B roadsters stand as the final iteration of Porsche’s true open roadsters.
This fully numbers matching example has been expertly restored in its original Aetna Blue. The available Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirms that chassis #88449 retains the original drivetrain with matching engine #603751 and transmission #39797. It has been with the current owner since 2007, and has been on several road rallies including the New England 1000 and the Freedom Road Rally.
This is a late production 1960 model that was completed on 09/08/1960 and is completely unmodified. It was restored by the previous owner, who purchased the car in 1985 and kept it for 22 years.
The sale includes the original owner’s manual, tool kit, and extensive maintenance records from the seller’s ownership. The car was recently serviced in March 2015, and is ready to drive!
